Meet Our Director
My name is Jen Otterson, and I am the Co-Director at A Child’s Place in McHenry. I have 20 years of experience working in Early Childhood Education. I have always had a love for children and wanted to be a teacher ever since I was a young girl. Half of my years have been in classrooms and the other half have been on the administration side.
I am happy to be a part of the McHenry Community, as my two children attend McHenry Dist. 15 schools. I believe a collaborative school environment with parent partnerships are the key to creating successful teachers and students! In my spare time, I enjoy vacations with my family and finding time to relax.
Meet Our Director
Hello, my name is Nicole Farmer, and I am a co-director at A Child’s Place- McHenry. I have been working in early childhood for the last 12 years. I’ve lived in the McHenry County area my entire life. The center is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and I enjoy partnering with them during the summertime to host community events.
I have always loved working with children and watching them grow throughout the years. I enjoy spending time with my daughter and our friends. We love spending our time outside during the spring and summertime.
